Of Counsel Edward D. Russell matriculated and graduated with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Economics and Journalism from the University of Washington, whereupon Edward earned his Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law.
Since 1984, Edward’s legal practice has focused on dirt law: the protection of real property title rights of owners, lenders, borrowers, title insurers, HOAs, and lien holders, through litigation, mediation, trials, and appellate representation in state courts, U.S. District courts, both state and federal appellate courts. Prior to that focus, Edward’s experience was in representing creditors in bankruptcy matters, collection, replevin, foreclosure, and eviction actions. Edward became of counsel with McPhail Sanchez in 2022.
Edward is licensed under the Tennessee Bar (2007). He is admitted to practice in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Tennessee, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central, Eastern, and Southern Districts of California. His experience includes litigation in multiple states.
