Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for a newly-licensed attorney looking to develop expertise in default services law and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced legal environment. The Associate Attorney will work closely with senior attorneys to manage a caseload involving foreclosure proceedings, bankruptcy filings, creditors’ rights, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Assist senior attorneys in all aspects of litigation, from case inception through resolution.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as necessary.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to strategize and develop case theories.
• Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations affecting default services.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in Mississippi and/or Alabama.
• 0-2 years of experience in a law firm environment (experience in default services or related fields is a plus).
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
